Nrutya Bharti : Preserving the cultural heritage of India
MITSOM College organizes an Intercollegiate event called "Nrutya Bharti " - Preserving the cultural heritage of India ,which refers to the way of life India, Indian languages, religions, music, architecture, food and last but not the least the Indian Dance forms, which comes in various types and which completely differs with the customs and traditions from different places, regions, states and countries.
The Indian dance culture is often labeled as an amalgamation of several cultures, which spans across Indian subcontinent and also includes traditions that are several millions old.
Dances in India comprise a variety in its art forms. The dances included in this event were based on India’s ethnicity, diversity, patriotism, also including the classical dance forms like, Folk Dance, Patriotic Dances, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Manipuri, Mohiniattam, Odissi, Satriya, Kathak, Kathakali, etc.
The main idea behind this event is:
- To reach out Indian Youth for promoting the Indian Classical Dance Culture amongst them.
- To identify the potential of Indian classical dance talent in youth.
- To increase the interest in the Indian Classical Dance forms.
